Dynamysk Participates in the YYC Tech Gives SPAM CUP supporting the Calgary Food Bank
In the spirit of giving this past holiday season, Dynamysk was proud to support the YYC Tech Gives SPAM Cup for the second year in a row.
The SPAM Cup supports the Calgary Food bank across their three pillars of giving; Money, Food, and Time. The Cup encourages friendly competition between tech companies by awarding points that correspond with each pillar, and the company that scores the highest overall points wins!
This year, Dynamysk’s employees really stepped up to the challenge.
Money: Just over $1000 was collected that will go directly to the Food Bank to purchase any items they are in need of.
Food: Dynamysk staff donated a whopping 545 pounds of food that helped feed families in need during Christmas season and into the new year.
Time: Our team donated a total of 42.5 hours sorting and bagging fresh and packaged food at the Calgary Food Bank warehouse. This earned us the coveted Golden Clock award for the most volunteer hours donated!
Many thanks to the DAMM Social Club (Dynamysk Automation Meeting of the Minds) for coordinating Dynamysk’s participation in this very worthwhile cause.
Although charities like the Calgary Food Bank always get additional attention during the holidays, the need is there all year round. Over the last year almost 150,000 food hampers were handed out by the Food Bank, and demand is increasing.
